Angelika Xaver receives Karl Kraus Award

The Karl Kraus Award (Karl-Kraus-Nachwuchsförderpreis) is awarded to young scientists for outstanding theses in the fields of photogrammetry, remote sensing and geoinformation. It is awarded by the German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation (DPGF), the Austrian Society for Surveying and Geoinformation (OVG) and the Swiss Network of Geospatial Imaging Experts (SGPF).

In 2016, Angelika Xaver received the second place award for her thesis on Automated Quality Control Procedures for the International Soil Moisture Network, see extended abstract at The awarding ceremony took place at the Dreiländertagung of DPGF, SGPF, and OVG in Bern, Switzerland, 7–9 June 2016.
