Biography

Education
Tracy has a BSc in Physics from the University of Bristol (2007) and an MSc in Geoinformation from Cranfield University (2014).

Employment
Tracy started working in Earth Observation in 2014, following a career in safety in the energy sector. She worked at the UK's National Physical Laboratory for three years as an optical calibration scientist before moving to Vienna in 2017 to pursue a PhD in soil moisture retrievals and quality control.

Research interests
Tracy focuses on the generation of long term, global soil moisture datasets from various sensors and understanding the uncertainties associated with this merging process. In addtion, she is working on the validation and quality control of these datasets with a particular focus on improving traceability of validation activities and understanding the stability of long term datasets.
