The Institute of History of Art, Building Archaeology and Restoration, Research Unit E251-1 Building History and Building Archaeology, offers a position for a University Assistant, salary group B1, expected from 01.08.2019 (30 weekly hours), for the duration of 3 years.

Condition of admission:

• Master degree in geodesy and geoinformation or equivalent.
• Interest in university research and interdisciplinary collaboration, especially in the field of architecture, civil engineering, geodesy and geoinformation.
• Aiming to prepare a doctoral thesis in the area of point cloud processing and 3D modeling for BIM.

Further skills:

• A profiled educational and research focus is expected in the various techniques of non-contact 3D data acquisition, preferably in the field of building survey for building archaeological research: photogrammetry and laser scanning (e.g. program of the various manufacturers of laser scanners), in programming (e.g. C/C++, Python, Matlab, command line), as well as in-depth knowledge of the corresponding postprocessing, etc.
• Experience in common graphics and architecture software (text, layout, graphic, CAD)
• Very good command of English, command of German is advantageous
• Publication experience is preferable
• Willingness to cooperate in university courses. Therefore, experiences in university teaching and research as well as good organizational and didactic skills are desired

The remuneration corresponds to the minimum wage of the salary group B1 and for an employment position of 30 hours it amounts to 2.148,40 € gross/month (14 times per year).

Am Institut für Kunstgeschichte, Bauforschung und Denkmalpflege, E251, Forschungsbereich Baugeschichte und Bauforschung, E251-01, der TU Wien ist eine PräDoc-Stelle für eine_n Assistent_in voraussichtlich ab 01.08.2019 bis 31.07.2022, Gehaltsgruppe B1, mit einem Beschäftigungsausmaß von 30 Wochenstunden zu besetzen.

Das monatliche Mindestentgelt für diese Gehaltsgruppe beträgt derzeit EUR 2.148,40 brutto (14x jährlich).
Aufgrund tätigkeitsbezogener Vorerfahrungen kann sich das Entgelt erhöhen.

Aufnahmebedingungen:

• Abgeschlossenes Masterstudium in Geodäsie und Geoinformation oder äquivalent.
• Interesse an universitärer Forschung und interdisziplinärer Zusammenarbeit, speziell im Bereich, Architektur, Bauingenieurwesen, Geodäsie und Geoinformation.
• Ziel einer Dissertation im Bereich Punktwolken-Prozessierung und 3D-Modellierung für BIM zu erstellen.

Sonstige Kenntnisse:

• erwartet wird ein profilierter Ausbildungs- und Forschungsschwerpunkt in den verschiedenen Techniken der berührungsfreien 3D-Datengewinnung, bevorzugt in der Bestandsaufnahme in der Bauforschung: Photogrammetrie und Laserscanning  (z.B. Programm der verschiedenen Hersteller von Laserscannern), im Programmieren (z.B. C/C++, Python, Matlab, Kommandozeile), sowie vertiefte Kenntnisse im entsprechenden  Postprocessing etc.
• Erfahrung mit den gängigen Grafik- u. Architekturprogrammen (Text, Layout, Grafik, CAD)
• sehr gute englische Sprachkenntnisse, deutsche Sprachkenntnisse von Vorteil
• wünschenswert wäre bereits vorzuweisende Publikationserfahrung
• Bereitschaft zur Mitarbeit in Lehrveranstaltungen – wünschenswert sind daher bereits vorhandene Kenntnisse im universitären Bereich / in Forschung und Lehre sowie gute organisatorische und didaktische Fähigkeiten
